Instructions

  • CAULIFLOWER FRIED RICE INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Prepare the Cauliflower Rice: Grate the cauliflower florets with a box grater until they resemble rice or couscous. Alternatively, you can use a food processor to chop the cauliflower.
  • Cook the Cauliflower Rice: In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Allow the butter to melt and add in 1/2 tsp of sesame oil. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it becomes translucent. Add Garlic and Vegetables:Stir in the minced garlic the minced jalapeno pepper, and the diced red bell pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Until the vegetables are soft.

Add the cauliflower rice: Add the cauliflower rice to the skillet and stir well to combine all the ingredients.

  • Push Vegetables to the Side: Push the cooked vegetables to one side of the skillet, creating an empty space in the center. Cook the Eggs (Optional): If you're using eggs, pour them into the empty space in the skillet. Scramble the eggs with a spatula until they're cooked through.
  • Combine and Season: Mix the cooked eggs (if using) into the vegetables. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Add Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil: Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce or tamari over the cauliflower rice. Adjust the soy sauce to your taste. Stir well to distribute the flavors evenly.
  • Season and Garnish: Season the cauliflower fried rice with garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. You can also add additional soy sauce if needed. Garnish with chopped green onions for freshness and color.
  • Cook Until Heated Through: Cook the cauliflower fried rice for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cauliflower is tender and heated through. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary.
  • Serve: Serve the cauliflower fried rice hot as a side dish or add cooked protein (such as grilled chicken, shrimp, or tofu) to make it a complete meal.
  • Feel free to customize your cauliflower fried rice by adding other vegetables, proteins, or your favorite seasonings and sauces to create different flavor variations. It's a versatile and healthy alternative to traditional fried rice.
